Your driver meets you at Jaipur Airport or Railway Station with a name board and a cold bottle of water. The ride to your heritage hotel takes 20 30 minutes, and the rest of the day is yours to recover from travel.
If you arrive before noon, your coordinator can arrange an optional evening visit to Nahargarh Fort, perched on the Aravalli Hills above the city. The sunset view over Jaipur's pink washed skyline from here is, frankly, staggering and far less crowded than the daytime tourist circuit.

This is the day most guests call unforgettable. You begin at Amber Fort a sprawling hilltop fortress of honey coloured sandstone and white marble where Rajput kings held court for 200 years. Inside: ornate royal chambers, a weapons gallery with swords that look ceremonial but were built to kill, and a rooftop terrace overlooking the entire blue-painted old city.
Adjacent to the fort sits Jaswant Thada, a white marble memorial with views that many of our guests describe as the most photogenic spot in Rajasthan.

The drive from Jodhpur to Udaipur covers 260 km (approximately 5 hours) through the heart of the Rajasthani countryside. You arrive in Udaipur by late afternoon. The first glimpse of Lake Pichola with the white City Palace reflected on its surface is the moment most travellers reach for their camera and don't put it down until dark.

After the palace, you visit Jagdish Temple, the 17th century carved marvel in the old city centre, followed by a boat cruise on Lake Pichola. Overnight: Udaipur
This is the longest drive of the tour 530 km, approximately 8-9 hours and we schedule it with two scenic stops and a proper lunch halt to break the journey comfortably.
The destination makes every kilometre worthwhile. Jaisalmer Fort is unlike any other fort in Rajasthan or India. It's a living fort. Roughly 3,000 people still live inside its 12th-century walls, running shops, restaurants, and guesthouses amid 850-year-old Rajput architecture. Walking through its narrow lanes at dusk feels like stepping into a different century.
Optional evening: a Thar Desert camel safari with sunset over the sand dunes of Sam. If you've never watched the sun drop below a desert horizon, this is your moment. Overnight desert camping can also be arranged.
Overnight: Heritage haveli in Jaisalmer (Suryagarh, Hotel Nachana Haveli, or similar)
Morning exploration of Jaisalmer's Patwon Ki Haveli a cluster of five intricately carved sandstone mansions before departing for Chittorgarh Fort (approximately 560 km, 8-9 hours with stops).
Chittorgarh is the largest fort in India by area 700 acres of ramparts, temples, towers, and reservoirs that once protected a kingdom willing to die rather than surrender. The Vijay Stambh (Tower of Victory) stands 37 metres tall, carved with Hindu deities across nine storeys. This fort is raw. Less polished than Amber or Mehrangarh. More emotionally powerful because of it.

October through March is peak season and for excellent reason. Daytime temperatures range from 20 – 28°C (68 – 82°F), skies are reliably clear, and the desert light is ideal for photography. December and January mornings can be cool (8 -12°C / 46 – 54°F), so pack a jacket.
April through June brings intense heat 40°C+ (104°F+) in Jaisalmer and Jodhpur. Forts are less crowded, but outdoor exploration becomes physically demanding. We advise against this window unless you’re highly heat-tolerant.
July through September is monsoon season. Udaipur’s lakes fill dramatically, the landscape turns green, and Chittorgarh Fort looks magnificent against storm clouds. Expect occasional rain delays. We run tours year-round and advise honestly about conditions for your dates.
